A Slower Speed of Light is a free little game from the MIT Game Lab. It visually demonstrates the effects of relativity. You move around in the first person picking up orbs which slow down the speed of light—the effect being that your normal walking speed inches ever closer to light speed. When you move faster—or light moves slower—colors begin to morph as the invisible shifts into the visible spectrum, until finally time and space themselves start bending. Very trippy, but based on real physics.

This piece touches on the idea of identity within race. Being of mixed race is still a struggle for many even in this day in age. Living in a world with block heads and “blue blooded” people, only make life more challenging for those of mixed race who only want to be accepted in a country where none of that should matter.

“Sweet and Low”. Color Pencil. This piece was also done for my contemporary art class. It dealt with woman studies and the internal struggle of a woman striving for perfection. Much like a person who is hiding their addiction behind a fake smile, some women are forced to hide their inner pain behind a grin. The high of cocaine is “sweet” at first then hits a “low” for these particular women struggling with perfection within their home, marriages and family life, they deal with the “sweet” then the “low” right before they snap. ” Sweet and Low Zero Calorie Cocaine “
